There are so many restrictions placed by different governments across the globe that it is not surprising that online casino sites use methods such as having their slogan written on sports uniforms or purchasing some crazy eBay item just to get in the news. Thanks to new legislation across Europe, online casino sites will no longer have to resort to eBay, however, they will have to place warnings on their sites and advertisements.
You know those warnings that appear on cigarette boxes and alcohol containers? Well those too will soon be appearing on online casino gambling ads and quite possibly on the casino sites themselves. Why these warnings? Well, for starters, most of the online casino controversy revolves around the fact that due to the ease of accessibility many more people will develop gambling problems. Whether or not this is true, having the online casino protect itself from lawsuits is a great idea for all parties involved.
Potential warnings may read somewhere along the lines of "gambling may lead to severe addiction; if you feel like you have a problem please seek help". Similar to tobacco and alcohol warnings, the chances that somebody will actually take the warnings to heart are slim to none. People who drink will drink regardless of what the bottle says knowing that dangers do exist, just as online casino players will play, understanding that if they have an addictive personality, trouble may or may not follow.
